How to Slip Stitch in Lace to Crochet Projects using Eyelet Lace and Yarn

Eyelet lace may easily be crocheted into many crocheted projects to provide an unique appearance.

Craft Moods projects are crocheted using 4ply cotton with single or double sided eyelet lace slip stitched into the work to provide contrasts of colour and texture.

To slip stitch in lace:

From the left, place the lace to the back of the work.
Insert the hook under the first stitch and through the first eyelet hole in the lace.
Keeping the tension loose, yarn over hook, pull yarn through the hole, the stitch and the loop on the hook.
Follow this procedure to the end of the row and cut off the lace only.

To neaten and join lace: To neaten ends of lace rows, overlap eyelet lace towards you by one hole at the beginning and the end of the row. Join eyelet lace part way through a row by overlapping each piece of eyelet lace by two sets of holes.
