Types of Eyelet Lace

Eyelet lace is available in a wide range of colours, patterns and sizes with either one (single sided) or two (double sided) decorative edges. Gathered, single sided eyelet lace is also available in a wide range of designs.

Craft Moods projects utilize single (plain and gathered) and double sided plain eyelet laces, ranging in width from 1.5cm to 5cm and with 85 to 180 eyelet holes per metre. Most of our projects use plain double sided eyelet lace with about 90 eyelet holes per metre.

  • A: Double sided (90 holes per metre)

  • B: Fine single sided (100 holes per metre)

  • C: Single sided (90 holes per metre)

  • D: 5cm wide single sided gathered (120 holes per metre)

If single sided eyelet lace is unavailable in the colour you desire, choose quality double sided eyelet lace and cut lengthwise below the holes to form single sided eyelet lace.

Because fancy wide laces (such as D) vary in the number of holes per metre depending on the header lace, the number of holes required has been given with each of our patterns. Metreage required is determined by the number of holes given, divided by the number of holes per metre. Check this with your stockist.
